Pick 6.14 - 134th Overall

Jimmy Rollins - PHI SS
http://www.baseball-reference.com/players/r/rolliji01.shtml

This is a pick for the future, as Rollins only played in 14 games in 2000 with only 54 ABs (he did hit .324).  2001 is his official rookie year, and he came onto the scene like gangbusters.  In 2001, Rollins played in 158 games, leading the NL in ABs, triples and stolen bases.  An All-Star that year, he finished third in the ROY voting behind a couple halfway decent players (Albert Pujols and Roy Oswalt).  He even garnered MVP votes in his rookie season.  An All-Star in 2002 while once again leading the league in ABs and triples.  He continues his excellence to this day, winning an NL MVP award in 2007.  While this is a waste pick for the current season, I'll happily sit on J-Roll for a year.  He'll sit atop my potent lineup for the rest of the decade.

I'll obviously need to target another SS for 2000.  A couple guys, Rey Sanchez and Ricky Gutierrez, look like good, cheap bets in the later rounds.  Both were excellent in the field in 2000 and can hold me over for a year.  Hopefully I can nab one in about 10 rounds or so.
