Have a well established middle of the lineup already. Need to address the top of the order. Fernando Vina fits the bill nicely. Not only will he provide a nice OBP and speed from the leadoff spot, but he's one of the best fielding 2B in the game for the era, wining the Gold Glove award in both 2001 and 2002. He was actually a member of a St. Louis Cardinals team that had four GG winners the same year (Scott Rolen, Jim Edmonds and Edgar Renteria).Going to target a 3B in the next round to fill out the lineup, then concentrate on the pitching staff. Still some good arms available. Hopefully the strategy pays off.
